Dear Member / PatronIt has come to that time of year when the days are getting longer and westart to think of, sailing ⛵️ on the Loch, Skiff rowing, Lug sailingand, (less popular!) boat maintenance. In the past the Trust has very successfully run sail training courses, skiff coxing courses and the Tiree Regatta. Many Tiree folk and summervisitors have enjoyed using the dinghies and Lug sail boats. Our rowingSkiff has had many enjoyable outings. However, all the activities comeat a cost; insurance, maintenance (boats, sails. rigging, trailers, launch trollies, motors) 'electricity etc. The Trust is also involved inactively preserving and renovating traditional Tiree heritage lug sailcraft. In the past we were fortunate to receive funding from variousbodies, for these projects, but these funds are not so readily availabletoday. Therefore we ask our members and supporters, not only to renewyour membership, but to consider making a donation (large or small) toassist us in continuing the valuable work of the Trust. The simplest payment method for membership or donations is on theright-hand side of our website using PayPal:www.tireemaritimetrust.org.ukDon't hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questionsKind Regards Alastair MacLachlanTiree Maritime Trust Chair ...
