It was great to brush off the cobwebs and get some youths out on the water today. Hopefully, more of this lovely weather for regular dinghy sailing this year.#Tiree #sailing #tireemaritimetrust #hebrides

Dear Member / PatronIt has come to that time of year when the days are getting longer and we
start to think of, sailing ⛵️ on the Loch, Skiff rowing, Lug sailing
and, (less popular!) boat maintenance.
In the past the Trust has very successfully run sail training courses,
skiff coxing courses and the Tiree Regatta. Many Tiree folk and summer
visitors have enjoyed using the dinghies and Lug sail boats. Our rowing
Skiff has had many enjoyable outings. However, all the activities come
at a cost; insurance, maintenance (boats, sails. rigging, trailers,
launch trollies, motors) 'electricity etc. The Trust is also involved in
actively preserving and renovating traditional Tiree heritage lug sail
craft. In the past we were fortunate to receive funding from various
bodies, for these projects, but these funds are not so readily available
today. Therefore we ask our members and supporters, not only to renew
your membership, but to consider making a donation (large or small) to
assist us in continuing the valuable work of the Trust.
The simplest payment method for membership or donations is on the
right-hand side of our website using PayPal:

TIREE SKIFF ROWING 2024An Gille Brìghde has been painted and turned, painted and turned.
The rowing season is upon us, and we will be back in the water at the end of April.
If you want to come with us rowing on Gott Bay—whether you’ve been rowing for years or never put a foot in a boat—let me know.
As you can see, it’s great exercise and good fun. Spoiler: it’s not always as sunny as this!
